+27degrees on December 4?? YES!!!!!

Well it's been a long time since I last blogged. Oh well I get busy with life sometimes. What better time to blog then 3am since I can't sleep guess I'm too excited to sleep to tonight :) I'm going to Hawaii in like 4 1/2 hours! I'll be landing in Hawaii 2:30pm our time. Understand why I'm so excited now??? Well to catch up on what I've been up to November hubby did the no shave November I was close to shaving that beard off myself.

I just don't like the feeling of being tickled while I kiss him haha. Nothing too exciting that happened in November other then being a dreadful month. Husband was gone 11 days with 2 1/2 days off which totally sucked!!  Plus I was working a whole lot which I'm not so used to anymore. But we got through it in one piece :) oh yes then last week my car, little red, decided to die on mr!! Grrrr thealternator died so hopefully husband just needs to replace it and she will run again *fingers crosed* I won't be out of a vehicle I'll have husbands truck which i only like to drive in the spring.

Then just this weekend me and Allan did a scuba diving course! So much fun and wasn't too hard either. I only had little difficulties because I still had a cold which left me congested. But I'm so much better now just a cough and that will be gone very soon since I'm finally leaving this cold cold weather! And going to +27 weather instead!

My husband is soo sneaky he kept Hawaii as a surprise for me I didn't know till Friday when we started the scuba course a whole month he hid it from me!! Really glad he did so instead of counting down from weeks till I go I only counted down from 4!!!! Oh yes I did pass the scuba course and now I just need to take the open water scuba diving course and I can go scuba diving international!!! Anywhere in the world and won't ever have to renew! So in Hawaii we are taking the open water portion of the course!

I still don't believe I'm going away to warmer weather!! December 4-16!  Visiting 3 islands and going to com back with a tan!!! Never thought this would happen while still in the month of December :)

Anyways scuba diving left massive blisters on my feet! So my opinion is if you ever go scuba diving use open heel flippers so you don't get blistered feet.
For the final exams there were 2 parts written multiple choice and the pool/swimming part. Written part was easy I aced it! The swimming part was more difficult had to do what's called the blindman swim. It wasnt too bad I passed it.

Hmmm thinking now might be a good time to try and sleep again.

Our Story..

For a while now I've just been thinking of the story how me and husband met, how he proposed to me ( I gave him the idea of where to propose I think) and all that jazz stuff. This post is about all that super funny stuff of me and my husband. 

We met at a church potluck back in 2010 and Allan (my husband) was so shy just like me! :) We became friends I asked him out all the time! to preference and he'd invite me to movies fun stuff! Oh ya I moved up to the city to live with my sister and work. Then eventually he got the job up north (right when I really started to like him and was thinking of asking him if he would be my bf) he missed my birthday too :(  I was so sad he couldn't come celebrate it with me. 

Then we started to date finally in May and did long distance over the summer but saw eachother almost every weekend so it wasn't bad at all!! so after 6 months of dating on Nov. 7, 2011 he proposed to me!!! yes I remember the exact date when he proposed to me I just have a good memory about important dates. 

Now the part everybody is probably waiting for 

THE PROPOSAL!!

and just so everyone knows I have what my family calls "blonde moments" 

So I go over to Allans house after a morning shift at work so I was kind of tired, he puts something in his truck and says he found a place we could go explore just of the Whitemud. It was a nature reserve so we parked and walked around for a while it was a chilly morning being Nov and all that. My hands were getting cold so I put my hand in his pocket and felt something "Allan what is that in your pocket? is it your phone?" allan says "No" and I didn't think any of it. So again "Allan what is in your pocket?" Allan says, "dont worry about it" hahahahaha! I should have known something was up! but being me I didn't think anything of it lol 

We continue walking and start heading back to the truck, and again........

Me, "Allan what is in your pocket?"

Him, "Take it out and find out"

So I take it out and can't believe I EVEN SAID THIS! "Why do you have a box in your pocket?" haha wow I do feel so dumb but I guess it makes for a good proposal. lol

AND THERE'S MY RING!! :D the most beautiful piece of jewelry I own. :) and of course I cried the whole water works. haha I still feel so silly/dumb about not knowing what a ring box is!!!! but I guess it makes for a unique proposal. 

Then 5 months later we were married for time and all eternity in the Cardston Alberta Temple.

ROAD TRIP!

I am awful at posting oops. Me and my husband just came back a little while ago from our spontaneous ROAD TRIP!! just had an idea of the city we would stay and find a hotel while we were there. Garbage hotels sometimes and other times just amazing hotels! plus free breakfast at every single one. Drove down and around all western United States super super fun!!! :D

Went to Montana did the bozeman hot springs amazing place loved it! Idaho found a potato museum there, Yellowstone National Park, Utah and toured around Temple Square there so beautiful also found Brigham Young's grave. Then 4 corners! be in 4 places at the same time!! Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona. Awesome trees call the Petrified Forest! trees that turn into rock mineral kind of stuff. Grand Canyon SOO BIG!! wow! it was very cool! Then Las Vegas baby!! didn't do much there since it was Sunday and we tried not to spend money and all that. Hoover Dam we walked across! it is HUGE! We saw the Giant Redwood trees!!!! biggest trees i've ever seen! we walked through a redwood as well!! then kind of saw Mt St. Helen's didn't really see it due to the weather and drove through clouds! visibility is awful in clouds lol. states we went to are; Montana, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Colorado,, New Mexico, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon. I think we estimated around 8,000kms. Week and a half we drove around didn't stay in one spot for more then a day. SUPER FUN! best places we found was Bed Rock CITY! saw the flinstones Fred and Wilma with little Pebbles. It was AWESOME!

Now my husband is back at work it is hard going from having him everyday to him being gone again. But this time I'm not too bad it gets lonely sometimes though. A recent thought came to mind, how do wives do it when their husband is in the army? They leave for months at a time and come home for maybe a week then leave again for months. I'm lucky in a way my husband only leaves for a week at a time but this time he might be home for only 3 days.  :(  If you see your husband everyday you are one lucky girl! It is great when my husband goes on vacation thats 3 weeks off just us :)  we will probably keep doing stuff like this till we actually settle down with our own house and start having kids. As others say "better to do it now while you can" haha.

It's just a matter of weeks before I am on vacation AGAIN! SO excited!!!! hmmm ya it seems like every other month I am on vacation oh well it is super nice to not worry about anything just leave and enjoy eachothers company. Just have to get through November then vacation no work! then Christmas and Allan gets to spend Christmas night with me :) our first Christmas and he comes on Christmas day. I'm sooooo EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS! first one being married then 4 more months till our 1 year anniversary!!!! and I finally can eat the cake thats been in my freezer since our wedding. here are some pictures of our wonderful road trip enjoy

Summer Vacation

Wow been so long since last time I posted something!!! but last month of summer was crazy busy!! SUMMER VACATION! :) me and my husband had the whole month off to travel and visit family. I did a Triathlon!! the swimming part of it but still did a triathlon as a team! so much fun I was soo nervous waiting for my turn to hop into the pool. I didnt train at all 30 lengths pft no big deal it was kind of hard but even without training my time was still up with those fast people! 17minutes it took me to swim. Not bad at all! : D

so happy my husband came out to cheer me on he's amazing!

Then I did the most exhausting thing mentally and physically ever!! I did a 40km hike in 3 days, 1st day we did half the hike 20km! 2nd day 14, 3rd day 6km! so hard! first night rained all night couple hours of sleep so sore the next morning! 2nd night I couldn't move without being in pain it was awful! Allan (my husband) asks me "why dont you switch to your stomach to sleep?" my response, "I would if I could MOVE!" haha it even snowed a little bit! saw a bear scared the jeebers out of me! it was a great time just me and husband in the wilderness enjoying nature. Great time with him :) after the hike we got to soak in the Miette hot springs felt soo good got a few looks with my limping and cringing at the pain. I am going to do that hike again next summer!

We went to the calgary zoo waited in line for at least an hour just to see the penguins! but they were pretty cool even if they didn't do anything other then lay on rocks..here's a few pictures...

Visited my family and did tons with them went to Writing on Stone Provincial Park and Waterton National Park and did Bertha Falls hike. 

Recently I just did the Walk for Muscular Dystrophy with my hubby and in laws. Very important to us that we support our families and loved ones. Oh yes and for those who didn't know just yet I recently got called to be Young Womens Beehive Advisor :) I teach girls ages 12 and 13. They are amazing girls not afraid to share experiences they've had it is so nice to have girls talk alot, I know when I was in Y.W. my group either didn't pay attention or just never talked haha. The leaders whom I serve with are amazing women and super nice! 

Not sure what else to talk about?? oh ya I got the opportunity to teach 2 classes of parent & tot. these are parents with their child either 1yrs old or younger. It was hard to teach it but i had alot of fun doing it! plus my boss gave me some advice of how to teach the parents even! I did a very good job teaching my very first parent and tot class. I feel accomplished 

2 more days and my husband will be home. Again he is gone but this time it hasn't been that hard, yes I still miss him so much but guess i'm finally getting used to it. This week I caught a nasty cold spent days taking drugs to help, called in sick to work for a shift which sucked. I'M ALL BETTER NOW! YAY!! 

16 days, 1 more shift for hubby and we are going on another vacation!! :) Going to go hike the grand canyon and probably camp there too. Plus travel around the states and thinking if a place we go to has a temple we will do a session! so that means Salt Lake City Temple, Las Vegas Temple and some other ones as well :) it will be so much fun. I made reservations to the Calgary Temple Open HOUSE!!! sooo excited for it!

ZOO!!!!

I saw a tiger!!!. Went to the Edmonton Valley Zoo the other day! so much fun spent the time with my sister in laws and my nephew and neice. "I saw animals" as my nephew would tell everyone when asked what he did that day. Fun hot day in the sun searching cages for the creatures, saw Lucy the elephant twice while she was out on her walk. Saw the newest exhibit at the zoo artic something sea lions were swimming around. I am sure the kids were so tired after wards, but loved exploring and looking at the animals. Then right after went to the Edmonton Alberta Temple that was actually the highllight of my day :) it felt really great to get back to the temple even if I got lost a couple times ok more then a couple times but it was my first time being in the Edmonton Temple.

Exciting stuff for me today! worked the entire afternoon and then my coworker was kind enough to give me advice on my flip turns while swimming lengths :) I can now say I can do a FLIP TURN!! WAHOO!! still need to practice more of course but hey I can do a FLIP TURN!! YAY!, That was my workout today did a few flip turns, swam around 14 lengths, and did 50m head up front crawl in about 45secs :) very happy about that so worried I couldn't do it! that is a physical lifeguard standard. : D
 plan on going to the Festival on Saturday! Get to taste a bunch of food from around the world first time going, then hang out with my dear friend Chantel (yes I just mentioned you on my blog lol) shes still in YSA so we haven't seen eachother for soooooooooooooooooooooooo LONG!! been way over due I think. I have made/caught up with so many friends recently! :) makes me happy and gets me really busy hanging out with them all haha.

I go to work and of course everyone asks "is your husband home?" nope "doesn't it get lonely?" um YES! my evenings are me on my computer watching the olympics but tonight I spent a couple hours on a little kids website ytv.ca and family.ca and played a bunch of the games on there haha I dominated them all!!!! hahahahaha!!!!!!! Its been a fun day goes by super fast which is so nice!!

5 lonely nights left and then MY ALLAN IS HOME! and STAYS HOME! until the end of August : ) VACATION!!

Anyways that has been my couple days pretty eventful as well as this long weekend coming up :) so HAPPY I have friends and family who come visit me and hang out with me plus helps keep me busy so the week goes by fast.

Olympics 101 (2012)

Well it's been an exciting day for me and Canada! Canada has now 3 Medals all bronze. Yes I absolutely love love love the Olympics this morning I got up and was glued to the tv watching one of my favorite events SWIMMING!!!! Phelps is now the most dedicated Olympian of all times!! Wow! Canada no medals in swimming didn't even qualify for most events :(. Know what Canada may not get too many medals but London 2012 has been amazing for Canadian athletes! First ever medal in women's weightlifting, medaled in judo for the first time since like 1978 or something really far like that, women's gymnastics placed 5th! First time ever placing top 5 in Olympic history!! Which is like getting medal and the Chinese didn't even medal!! Which is a huge shock since gymnastics has been the Chinese gold medal since I can remember. So many things happen during the Olympics both good and bad. Japan got silver in men's gymnastics which I think shouldn't have happened! The Japanese supposedly made a dismount off the pomel horse which to me looked like he lost balance on his dismount but Japan appealed and won knocking the Ukrainians off the podium. Many people are well canadians are saying the the U.S. gold medalist in women's swimming should be a Canadian medal cuz she is dual citizenship but she's done everything in the states her training and schooling plus she chose to represent the U.S. in the Olympics it was her chose! Bad news that happen in the Olympics athletes testing positive for drugs I heard 115 got caught most from Asia before the games even begun!

Canadian horse rider got bucked off her horse the other day, athletes being dismissed from the games for racial tweets. I am sad to say but Canada isn't all that great in making it to the podium in the summer games but we did dominate in the winter games in Vancouver!!

Well if you haven't figured it out yet I am a total junkie when it comes to the Olympics :) I am a swimmer myself so I love watching diving, swimming, and sometimes water polo (which is fun to play), women's gymnastics is never a let down it is always so close to who will win and seems to always depend on the last person of the team to compete to determine if it's a gold silver or bronze.

The Olympics are just soo amazing I did the math of phelps journey (he's one amazing swimmer) he went to his first Olympics when he was I think 16 in Athens I think, so 4 years to Bejing then 4 more to London that's 8 years of training not including the training before Athens! He is around the age of 28 now competing against younger Athletes now too. It takes so much dedication for athletes to train that long and sacrifice so much just to be at the Olympics!

Crazy other stuff happening people are buying the I think VIP seats and aren't showing!!!! I wanna knock some sense into those fools!!!! How can you buy those tickets and not show!??!!!!! For major events too like beach volleyball (which I also like to watch) and swimming!!! Grrr!! It makes me soo mad! It's the Olympics and you have tickets and don't bother to show? I'd say you better be on your death bed to not use those tickets! So ya I am mad about that I'd show to every event cuz I'd spend a fortune on some amazing seats!! :) well 2016 Olympics I might go see :) hahahahaha probably not cheering from home in front of the TV is still awesome lol


People doing that makes me mad like how I get mad at stupid drivers. Story of my bad driver experience i was coming home from Safeway and no lights just a stop sign I was going straight had to wait for it to be clear to go and for my car I have to wait an extra long time cuz she takes a little while to get going. Truck dude comes up behind me bad mood or something cuz I get a txt (oops distracted driving but not really cuz I was stopped) I just checked to see who it was didn't reply or anything and I missed my chance to go boo woo!! Truck dude started honking (I understand) I look back he's cursing his mouth off!!! Which then gets me mad that he's swearing at me!! So I take an extra long time to go ( also cuz I couldn't go at the moment cuz I can't chance things with my car) but still I don't care if your mom is dying no need to use that kind of language at me! And jUst learn a little bit more of patience!! So he got me mad might have been my fault I don't care I don't like people using that language at me never have never will!! Ok so that was mean sorry but still learn to control your anger please.

He just about my ruined the wonderful mood I was in. Went to the legislature and cooled off with a bunch of girls from church a lot of fun! But Nadine (my sis in law) saved my day! Pizza and a movie! Ice age 4 soo funny!! Definitely recommend seeing it!! It was Awesome! Hahaha so thnx Nadine for saving my wonderful mood today!! :) Goodnight all!!

Hi there!!

Well Hi there everyone!! I have never blogged before in my entire life always thought it was a waste of time! haha and here I am blogging wasting my monday night :)

Okay so things about me; My name is Rebecca Way, I have been married now for just over 3 months!!! WAHOO!! best decision of my life! Me and my hubby Allan live in the beautiful city of Edmonton. He works in Fort McMurray so he's gone from monday night to the next tuesday night if he drives but if he flies he's gone from tuesday to tuesday with a week off. Um.......ME? I work part time as a lifeguard at this really expensive members only club so since its summer I work maybe 1 shift a week when Allan is gone. I have a lot of time to waste I have been starting to workout more, swim lengths go for runs. I have been watching Allan leave since before we even started dating but for some reason it doesn't seem to get easier when he first went back to work after our honeymoon that was the toughest week I have had to endure yet. I was a wreck crying because I was alone. So maybe I am getting used to it kinda though but it is hard not having my parents nearby so i call them lots during the days. Allan being away also makes me go out and visit my neice and my nephew :). They're the cutest things ever!! My niece I think is about 4 months old?? she was born just before my wedding and my nephew is 2 years old. Anyways back to me um what else can I say? I go to church by myself every other week and every time someone asks "Where is your husband?" and I reply with, "He's at work and will be home on tuesday." I don't like people reminding me that I am husbandless every time they see my by myself. Oh well what can I do about it?

So when Allan is gone I go shopping and spend most of my allowance then just do whatever I can think of, visit family, workout, visit my sister Naomi on her days off and hang out with her. I do archery most tuesday nights with her and my brother in law James both helping me improve here's a picture of my amazing shots!! Yes those are all mine!!!!! I did some amazing shots there! I also can make pies now, make delicious cookies and homemade pizza buns :) I think I am a good housewife cooking for my husband sometimes, clean the house and do errands like grocery shopping and such.

Now for my lovely monday adventure to the dentist, had to get a filling on my upper left moler being me I totally forgot they had to FREEZE MY MOUTH! it was painful put ucky gel stuff on for a few minutes then a needle and put many other things around my tooth before starting to put the filling in. I don't like having a frozen mouth. I left dentist around noon went to in laws so Allan can do some stuff for his dad while I picked raspberries :) yummy!! Didn't start getting feeling back in my lip till about 5 or 6pm and got all feeling back about 7 I think. Then Allan did maintenance on my car until he left for work :(

So here I am blogging, sitting in my lovely basement suite watching recaps from the olympics alone. Probably wondering "dont you get bored?" um YES!! but I am starting to hang with friends and trying my best to stay busy. This week wont be bad tomorrow I will errands and such wednesday hang out with Naomi then thursday I work till evening and then the weekend my family comes up and visits!!!! :D :D :D : D happy happy!!! plus this is Allans last work shift and then he's on VACATION! : D till the end of August too! it's so exciting!!! :) oh yea this week I am training hard for the Raymond Triathlon on August 11 excited for that I am just doing the swimming though maybe next year if I am not pregnant (which I am not, and have no kids lol) I will do the whole triathlon (maybe).

I think that is it? thats  the "WAY" of Life (hope everyone got that! I think it was funny lol) oh here are some pictures of me and Allan :) we sure have fun together. OH yes please dont leave mean comments first time blogging and first blog so be nice!! : D
